Weight Control

Realistic weight control is very important not just for the elders but also in teens and even in children. Weight control is for everyone regardless of age and race but weight control is not easy for everyone as fast foods and fast lifestyle today.

Weight control is not really easy but here are some realistic ways that can help you in weight control:

Regular Exercise

Regular exercise is important in weight control. At least thirty to sixty minutes of exercise can prove wonders when it is done regularly. The key here is regular. If you do brisk walking, you have to do it several times a week because if you just do it twice in two months, then that is not a regular exercise and will not prove you any benefit.

Involving in any sports activities is also a form of regular exercise and this will bring long term results for your weight loss.

Watch portions of what you eat

In controlling weight, portion eating is very important. To achieve your goal of loosing weight, you have to reduce the size of what you eat. If before you eat one whole pizza, you may consider eating with just one slice now.

Eat healthy snacks

Munching on healthy snacks is also one way to control weight. Instead of eating unhealthy chips, you may consider eating the following as part of your healthy snacks:

  • Low fat yogurt
  • Baby carrots
  • Frozen grapes
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh oranges
  • Fresh strawberries or other fresh fruits
  • Limit liquid calories

Don't you know that your favorite 12 ounce soda has over one hundred calories and contains 10 tsp of sugar. That is a lot especially if you are serious in loosing weight.

In order for you to have a successful weight control, you have to start limiting your intake of liquid calories found in soda because too much of it can add up more weight on you.

For long term weight control, it is recommended that you drink water instead of drinking sodas.

Eating breakfast

Eating breakfast is often taken for granted because most people often wake up late and just rush on their school or work without eating any breakfast.

The habit of not eating breakfast is not a healthy one and it might affect your weight control as those people who don't eat breakfast are likely to eat unhealthy foods during the day.

Eating breakfast is the best way to start your day right as it helps you your metabolism to work on early and avoid binge eating later on.

Be positive

Being positive while on weight control is one effective way to be on track, when distractions come your way.

Controlling weight is not really easy but with the right attitude and positive mind set, you can achieve your goals much earlier than you expect.
